Chair of System-on-Chip

The Chair (Lehrstuhl) of System-on-Chip (LeSoC), led by Prof. Dr. Joachim Rodrigues, develops efficient hardware architectures for intelligent edge computing. Our research focuses on domain-specific Edge-AI accelerators using customizable RISC‑V systems and posit arithmetic for improved accuracy and efficiency. We address low-power design across several abstraction levels, as well as near- and in-memory computing to reduce data movement and energy consumption. We are interested in chiplet-based architectures for scalable, heterogeneous integration and agent-based design space exploration to automate HW/SW co-design, enabling high-performance, energy-efficient SoCs.
